BINTULU: Assistant Minister of Tourism Datuk Talib Zulpilip says his constituents in Jepak are always in his mind even though his work as a cabinet minister does not allow him to make regular visits.

“I used to visit every week, and sometimes twice a week whenever I had time but due to the increase of workload and responsibility in the government now, I have to reschedule my timetable accordingly,” he told the people when officiating at the ‘Khatamal Quran and mass circumcision’ ceremony at SK Jepak here yesterday.

He said the irregular visit of late did not mean that he had forgotten the people.

In his speech earlier, he reminded Muslims in his constituency to read the Quran regularly, understand its teaching and practise (teaching) them in their daily lives.

He said that Muslims who practise the teaching of the holy book were a special breed of people in society.

Also present at the function were PBB vice-youth chief who is also PBB Youth Economic Bureau chief Pandi Suhaili and Bintulu MP’s political secretary Zaiedy Nor Abu Nasir.

The event was organised by PBB Jepak youth wing and PBB Youth Economic Bureau.
