Kenyataan Naib Ketua Pemuda PBB Sarawak Pandi Suhaili 30hb April 2013

Kenyataan Naib Ketua Pemuda PBB Sarawak Pandi Suhaili
30hb April 2013
(merujuk kepada ''
Police reports against Awang Tengah for sedition" dan " Awang Tengah denies remarks on NCR, says he was misquoted ")

Sekian. Terimakasih.

Fracas over postal votes at EC briefing

August 02, 2012

TICKED OFF: A file photo of the commotion during the EC question and
answer session on Wednesday.

KUCHING: A brief fracas broke out between PKR’s Dr Michael Teo and Assistant Housing Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah during a question and answer session at the Election Commission briefing here yesterday.

The incident erupted when Dr Teo claimed that the postal votes cast by uniformed personnel could be manipulated if the ballot boxes were not placed at the tallying centres after the voting process as it might lead to vote tampering.

This led to Abdul Karim retorting the claims by saying that Dr Teo was raising a stupid question.

An argument then ensued between them before Abdul Karim and his PBB colleagues walked out of the conference room.

The briefing was held to update political parties and media representatives on the latest election rules which will be implemented in the coming general election.

Later, Abdul Karim told reporters that it was wrong for Dr Teo to make an allegation.

“It was a question and answer session after the briefing and Dr Teo should have just asked relevant questions.

“It’s unfair for him to make that kind of unfounded allegation. So, after a brief argument with him, we just left the conference room,” he said.

State PKR chairman Baru Bian when contacted declined to comment on the matter.

Dr Teo contested in last year’s state election where he lost to SUPP’s Datuk Lee Kim Shin by a razor thin 58-vote majority.

Opposition urged to help make Sarawak richest state

Thursday February 16, 2012

KUCHING: The Opposition should be more responsible by suppor- ting the Government’s effort to make Sarawak the richest state by 2030.

PBB vice-youth chief Pandi Suhaili said they should not pour cold water on the efforts to create a better economy for the rakyat.

“All will benefit from the efforts. I am sure even children of Opposition supporters are also among those who are going to work in Tanjong Manis when the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) project has fully taken off the ground,” he said when contacted yesterday.

He said the state government needed support from all quarters to ensure that a massive project such as SCORE would be successful.

Pandi, who is also PBB Economy Bureau chief, said the Opposition could not blame him if he inferred that they were afraid the success of the project would have negative effects on their support base.

BN win saved state from chaos — Pandi

Posted on May 7, 2011, Saturday

KUCHING: Sarawak should consider itself lucky that Barisan Nasional (BN) had managed to thwart Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) aggressive campaigns by retaining power after the just-concluded election.

PBB vice Youth chief Pandi Suhaili said this was because barely a month after the opposition group won some seats in the election, its leaders were already at loggerheads.

“Sarawakians should be grateful that BN managed to win the election because if the opposition did win, it is certain to be chaos in the state.

“They could not even agree on the shadow cabinet line-up and what more to say when they are the government,” said Pandi when contacted yesterday.

He said the opposition parties’ disagreement over the shadow cabinet lineup clearly confirmed his assertion in the past that they were actually only interested in obtaining power and not fight for the interest of the rakyat.

Home Minister’s words reassure PBB Youth

Posted on March 10, 2011, Thursday

KUCHING: The Parti Pesaka Bumiutera Bersatu (PBB) Youth movement thanked the Home Ministry for giving assurance that it would not leave any stones unturned in its investigation into the operation of Radio Free Sarawak (RFS).

Vice youth chief Pandi Suhaili said the movement felt relief with this assurance because it wants the radio station to stop from broadcasting its malicious lies to the rakyat.

“We are living in a multi-racial state by which it is of great importance for all of us to have a good relationship with all communities in order to have a peaceful life.

“Therefore, we must not condone any act of planting the seeds of hatred among the rakyat by irresponsible party such as RFS,” he said when met yesterday.

On Tuesday, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammudin Tun Hussein was quoted as saying the ministry would investigate into the operation of the radio station because “I want Malaysia to be safe.”

More important matters for CM to do than debate, Baru told

Borneo Post
Posted on March 1, 2011, Tuesday

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) state chairman Baru Bian should not waste Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s precious time by challenging him to an open debate on Native Customary Rights (NCR) land.

This is because Taib has many matters which he has to give due attention to by virtue of being the chief minister of the state, said PBB Youth vice-chief Pandi Suhaili, adding that many members of the party were willing to take up the open debate challenge.

To him, Baru is only distracting the chief minister from giving his attention to more important matters.

“There are many capable elected leaders in the party who are willing to face an appointed leader like Baru.

“Although many appointed leaders in the opposition are trying to instigate the rakyat to go against the government, we believe that we can give a good explanation on the NCR issue,” he said when contacted yesterday.
