Police reports against Awang Tengah for sedition

Free Malaysia Today
April 28, 2013

Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Awang Tengah’s recent accusations against Pakatan Rakyat are “shallow” and “irresponsible”

KUCHING: Sarawak DAP and PKR have lodged police reports against Senior Minister Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, accusing him sedition.

Awang Tengah had reportedly said that if Pakatan Rakyat came into power, they would introduce a “Malaysian Malaysia” concept which “abolishes the right to NCR ownerships”.

Awang Tengah had further accused the opposition pact of “right now fanning NCR issues for political mileage”.

Slamming Awang Tengah’s comments as “baseless” and seditious DAP secretary Chong Chieng Jen said no way in their manifesto was there an idea to abolish native customary rights (NCR) land.

PR cuba alih perhatian rakyat dengan isu video seks: Pandi

BINTULU: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) cuba mengalihkan perhatian rakyat yang kini tertumpu kepada isu terkini video seks membabitkan seorang pemimpin pembangkang, sekali gus mampu menjejaskan reputasi mereka pada pilihan raya negeri ini.

Naib Ketua Pemuda Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Pandi Suhaili berkata, seruan bahas isu tanah Hak Adat Bumiputera (NCR) diragui apabila ia dipersetujui ketika rakyat heboh memperkatakan skandal seks membabitkan pemimpin PR.

“Kita tidak tahu sama ada dakwaan itu benar atau sebaliknya, tetapi pembangkang terlalu cepat melatah dan menyatakan video tersebut memberi imej buruk kepada PR,” ujarnya ketika dihubungi.

Katanya, jika pembangkang jujur dalam perjuangan membela rakyat seperti didakwa, mereka tidak akan menunggu sekarang untuk menyahut cabaran PBB agar berbahas pada awal bulan ini.

Kelmarin, Ketua Wanita PKR Zuraida Kamaruddin berkata, mereka setuju tawaran berbahas dengan Ketua Penerangan PBB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem mewakili Ketua Menteri Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

More important matters for CM to do than debate, Baru told

Borneo Post

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) state chairman Baru Bian should not waste Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s precious time by challenging him to an open debate on Native Customary Rights (NCR) land.

This is because Taib has many matters which he has to give due attention to by virtue of being the chief minister of the state, said PBB Youth vice-chief Pandi Suhaili, adding that many members of the party were willing to take up the open debate challenge.

To him, Baru is only distracting the chief minister from giving his attention to more important matters.

“There are many capable elected leaders in the party who are willing to face an appointed leader like Baru.

“Although many appointed leaders in the opposition are trying to instigate the rakyat to go against the government, we believe that we can give a good explanation on the NCR issue,” he said when contacted yesterday.
