Generasi muda digesa kenali sejarah perjuangan dan penubuhan PBB

KAPIT: Generasi muda hari ini digesa mengenali sejarah perjuangan dan penubuhan Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) sebagai teras mewarisi perjuangan pemimpin hari ini.

Naib Ketua Pergerakan Pemuda PBB Sarawak Pandi Suhaili berkata, bagi mewarisi perjuangan itu, generasi muda harus mencontohi semangat perjuangan mendiang Tun Jugah Barieng yang mewujudkan PBB di sini pada 30 April 1974.

“Kerana perjuangan pemimpin terdahulu dan hari ini, kita di Sarawak mengecapi kemakmuran, suasana aman dan stabil yang harus diteruskan oleh generasi hari ini,” katanya semasa berucap pada Majlis Ramah-tamah Aidilfitri yang berlangsung di Dewan Komuniti Kampung Baru di sini, malam kelmarin.
  

Give full support to BN, people told

KAPIT: State Assemblyman for Semop who is also the Chief Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Abdullah Saidol called on the people here not to gamble their future but to rally their full support behind the BN government.

“The 13th General Election (GE) could be held at anytime from now.Thus the people must be wise with their choice and to rally their full support behind the BN government to deliver all its candidates be elected into the parliament.

“The people must exercise their wisdom and be rational to vote for BN and don’t gamble their future as the government has proven its record to deliver the needs of the people under the leadership of our Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak,” said Abdullah Saidol while officiating at the ‘Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidil-fitri’ gathering organised by the Youth Wing of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and sponsored by the Youth Wing PBB Sarawak held at Community Hall at Kampung Baru here last Saturday evening.

He reminded the people to be rational and not emotional in their choice.

“The people must evaluate the most qualified candidate to be their elected representative.

KAPIT: The electorate here have been advised to fully support Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi in the 13th general election as he is a “capable, dedicated and committed” leader.

Speaking at a Hari Raya gathering at Kampung Baru community hall here on Saturday, chief political secretary to the chief minister, Abdullah Saidol, said he had attended a number of BN closed-door meetings in Kuching and Kuala Lumpur, and during such meetings he noted that Nanta would always voice out the concerns and needs of his people.

“Among the things he often raised is the need to expedite infrastructure development to enhance the living standard of the people.

More support for Taib to continue leading state

KUCHING: More responses of solid support for Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud to retain his post as Chief Minister and continue being the leader to Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) poured in yesterday from several PBB Youth branch chiefs.

Samariang PBB Youth chief Haji Mohamad Azrai Karim when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune yesterday said that they sincerely hope Taib would retain his positions as the Chief Minister, head of PBB and Sarawak government.

“Pehin Sri is a a remarkable leader with his own vision and ability to lead Sarawak to a higher level, and if compared to the other states in Malaysia, the development and political stability in Sarawak is more visible to a stage that we, the people are very proud to be Sarawakians.” “As a leader, he is at his own level of distinction which is very hard to replace, and as long as he could lead us, we sincerely would give full support to him without any hesitation,” said Azrai in a telephone interview.

Meanwhile, Zone 9 Mukah PBB Youth chief Pandi Suhaili said that all their committee members are behind the leadership of Taib.

“We unanimously support the call and urge Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud to continue leading the party and be the chief minister,” he said when contacted yesterday.
