SIBU: A total of 500 Jalur Gemilang were distributed to motorists at Kampung Hilir roundabout by members of Central Region PBB Youth on Saturday evening.
The ‘Fly The Jalur Gemilang’ event was jointly organised by the Central Region PBB Youth and PBB Youth Sarawak Economy Bureau.
The flag distribution held in conjunction with Independent Month 2012 was officiated by Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapa’ee.
Vice-chief Pandi Suhaili of the State PBB Youth wing, PBB Youth exco member Radin Kadri Radin Budiman and other Central Region PBB Youth chiefs were also present.
The annual flag-flying campaign aims to instill the patriotic spirit and love for country among Malaysians, particularly the younger generation.
